    San Salvador was founded in 1525 by Spanish conquistador Pedro de Alvarado, 30 kilometres away from its present position. It was in 1546 when the settlement changed location and obtained the city status.

    To enter San Salvador , you need to have a valid passport, with validity until at least 6 months after your travel dates. Greek citizens do not need a Visa, for a maximum stay of 90 days.

    San Salvador has a tropical climate with two distinctive seasons; the dry (November-April) and the wet one or invierno (May-October).

    The best time to visit San Salvador is either during the beginning or the end of the dry season, when the weather is always pleasant, rains existent but not frequent and temperatures don’t reach extreme levels.
